2000年起,天上人以自己為屬靈明星,神化其見證,並打著中國家庭教會代表和傳回耶路撒冷(Back to Jerusalem) 的招牌,由其共肥者到處張揚而大力募款的誇張欺騙行徑,透過帶有虛假情節的暢銷見證書(the heavenly man),加上2000年六月起開始利用以傳回耶路撒冷為名的網站散播信息,針對西方富有的教會大刮財利,彷若一個國際「BTJ馬戲團」。消息由各方傳回國內,頻頻震驚教會領袖們。

2004年終於引起對神忠貞的神僕人們不約而同的義怒。經其他資深可靠的中國事工領袖多方證實,並細察有證有據的欺騙宣傳後,華南華北真正中立的教會領袖和同工們於十月25日起共同發出聯合公開信,是中國教會歷史上極美好的見證。

林獻羔簽名聯署公開信

與天上人有名利密切關係的楊天民以其2005年七月的公開信來辯護,企圖遮掩自己的錯誤,並引用經文為遁詞。其中內容迴避正面解釋林獻羔伯伯在J 125 號小冊「中國大騙子天上人」裡明列的宣傳謊言,卻將愛心勸告視為無據攻擊,指林伯(和其他共署公開信的中國家庭教會領袖們)因從沒像他一樣個人接觸過天上人,故言辭絲毫沒有可信之處云。這份公開信的詭詐之處是隱藏了許多英文段落,不敢老實翻成中文讓華人能讀到。在散播全球的所有翻譯版本裡,除了利用一堆其他理論和說法作為煙霧彈逃避具體回應,和遷怒攻擊天上人作假見證的現場證人林慕實(慕實視之為神特賜之殊榮,為喜樂的十架)之外,還以歪論明文攻擊林獻羔、謝模善和袁相忱弟兄。其中節錄如下:

「林獻羔老牧師自己都承認他以前從來沒有見過雲弟兄,也沒有讀過他的書。。。林老牧師對雲弟兄的生活或事工知之甚少。因此,他的攻擊顯然毫無意義。誠然,一個人如果素未謀面就對另一個人進行人格攻擊,那麼他的言辭必定也絲毫沒有可信之處。。。

當我問他對一個素未謀面的人進行公然抨擊是否正確時,他依然和善地笑笑,沒有回答。同時他還在向來到他教會的人派發他的《騙子》一文。我的同工也試圖與居住北京的謝模善和袁相忱老弟兄談及此事。。。這兩位令人尊敬的前輩承認他們在許多年前曾見過雲弟兄,可後來再也沒見過。

就算是不信主的人也不會聽信他們這樣的說法;No Chinese Translation 4 此段英文不敢翻成中文: Can you imagine the scene in court where one person is accusing the other of some horrible crime? The judge leans forward and asks the accuser, “How long have you known this man?” The accuser, red-faced, whispers, “Ah, actually I have never met him before your honor…” 就算是屬世的法官也不會接受一個對素未謀面的人的指控!這實在是無稽之談…」

這份公開信高舉屬靈功德代替悔改認罪的必要,成功地誤導了許多西方及華人讀者,忘記主耶穌提及的原則,就是「憑你的口定你的罪」。天上人的多本見證書及文宣本身就已經是定罪的充分理由!林伯於2006年元月5日將「中國大騙子天上人」小冊增訂內容,加上一段精彩有力的回應,最後以林前經文保羅的例子反駁楊天民的謬論。

據知此段回應只有中文版。成文十年後,西方仍有極其大量被迷惑誤導的牧師和熱心信徒。原因之一是因為在網路上人們只能找到楊對林伯的責難,及單方誤導大眾的信息。如果有正義感的基督徒,尤其是敬愛林伯的人,將它翻譯成英德韓日等語言公開,必能幫助許多盲從的肢體,乃甚有意義的事奉。能讓多人得讀得助,也是作者心願。華人有責看守弟兄,堵住破口,為時不晚。

林伯2006年元月增訂內容的「中國大騙子天上人」小冊,最末加上的回應(第14頁下半頁,第15頁,英文簡稱Appendix, Lin Xian Gao vs。Paul Hattaway with God ´s word in I Corinther)如下:

有人說:「林獻羔與天上人不認識,沒有資格判斷他。」請看下文《深思,反思,再思》:

神給每個人都有分辨是非的渴望和選擇的意志。中國人千年來的智慧勸告我們:三思而後行。何不冷靜想一想?

如果這種論調是正確,那麼全世界的法官都應該引咎辭職,因為被他們判罪的犯人都是他們不認識的,幾乎無一例外。所有在獄中服刑的,窮兇極惡的人都應該無罪釋放,因為每個為他們辯護的人都比法官認識他們。

如果這種論調是正確,那麼基督教許多牧師都應該向異端認罪道歉,因為他們其實大多都對傳異端的人沒有個人長期的認識!海內外基督徒凡沒有個別深入接觸過就說「東方閃電」是邪教的,都應該向他們好好認錯!高舉這種論調的天上人和其支持者們,應該帶頭示範!

如果這種論調是正確,那麼大部分美國人民,都應該向賓拉登和侯賽因好好道歉,因為樂意賠命,作保說他們是好人的穆斯林領袖們,才是真正的知情者,是跟他們在阿拉伯世界,一起實際生活工作過的,真正認識他們的人。從來沒有見過他們一面的美國總統,對他們的攻擊根本毫無意義!美國應該向他們認罪賠償才是!

哥林多教會有淫亂的事,保羅雖然不認識他,他只是「風聞」(林前5章1節),但保羅說:「要把這樣的人交給撒但……………………。」(5章5節)

A.

海特威這封「遁詞公開信」有幾個地方特別迷惑人。
 One tricky thing about Hattaway’s “Open Excuse Letter” is how it confuses people.

他把人分成兩類:一種是認識天上人的,就跟他們站在一起;
 He splits people into two groups: those who “know Brother Yun” and side with him,

另一種是不認識天上人的,就是支持中國家庭教會領袖的人。
 and those who don’t know him — meaning anyone supporting China’s house church leaders.

他竟然把這些愛心的勸告說成「不合聖經」的攻擊,還說「根本毫無意義」!
 He twisted loving warnings into “unbiblical attacks” and even said they were “completely meaningless”!

這就像說:只有吸過中國鴉片的人,才懂得好味道;
 That’s like saying: “Only those who smoked Chinese opium know how good it is.

沒抽過的人,根本沒資格批評!」
 If you haven’t, you’ve got no right to criticize!”

他的這個「兩種人的謬論」,讓幾乎所有讀者被害,
 This false “two kinds of people” idea misled almost everyone who read it,

以為吸食這屬靈鴉片真是好的。
 making them believe chasing this fake spiritual high was actually a good thing.

B.

海特威的謬論說,
 Hattaway’s false claim says,

林伯伯不像他們那樣認識天上人,
 “Uncle Lin didn’t know the Heavenly Man like we do,”

所以就沒有資格判斷什麽。
 “so he has no right to judge.”

爲什麽林伯伯會用法官判案來做回應呢?
 Why did Uncle Lin reply using a judge’s example?

因爲判斷事情重要的是證據,
 Because what matters in judgment is evidence,

個人認識犯人是不必要的。
 not personal acquaintance with the accused.

C.

林慕實反駁楊天民
Lin Mushi rebuts Paul Hattaway

林伯引用聖經,還提出林慕實寫的三個反思來反駁。
Elder Lin quoted Scripture and gave three strong reflections, written by Lin Mushi.

這真的是又有力又帶點幽默!
 It was powerful and even a bit humorous!

其實我們還可以加上林慕實的第四和第五個反思:
 We can even add a fourth and fifth reflection of Lin Mushi:

就是按照海特威這種奇怪邏輯,
 According to Hattaway’s odd logic,

他等於是鼓勵大家把《路加福音》、《使徒行傳》和《保羅書信》都丟掉,
 he is implying we should throw away Luke, Acts, and Paul’s letters,

然後用《瑪利亞福音》、《猶大福音》、《多馬福音》、《腓力福音》和《彼得福音》來取代。
 and replace them with the gospels of Mary, Judas, Thomas, Philip, and Peter.

理由是那些人真的跟過耶穌,
 Because those writers had physically followed Jesus,

而路加和保羅卻沒有親自跟耶穌相處過一分鐘!
 while Luke and Paul never spent one minute with Him!

D.

還有第五個反思就更精彩了!
 Here comes the fifth reflection!

耶穌提到有從前有一棟西羅亞樓倒塌,
 Jesus spoke of the Siloam tower,

壓死了十八個人。
 that fell and killed eighteen people.

耶穌其實不認識那些人,
 Jesus didn’t even know them,

卻直接說不要拿罪大小來比較。
 yet He said: don’t compare sin’s weight.

他們是因為沒有悔改才滅亡的!
 They perished because they didn’t repent!

接著耶穌提醒門徒:
 Then Jesus told His disciples:

「你們若不悔改,也要如此滅亡。」
 “If you don’t repent, you’ll perish too.”

照海特威的邏輯,耶穌自己也錯了。
 By Hattaway’s logic, Jesus Himself erred.

祂對不認識的十八死者的評論,
 His comments on the eighteen victims

就完全沒有意義。
 would be meaningless.

耶穌沒見過希律,卻稱他是狐狸。
 Jesus never met Herod, yet called him a fox.

耶穌也不可能去過每個會堂,
 Jesus couldn’t visit every synagogue,

認識所有法利賽教會的拉比,
 nor know all Pharisee rabbis,

祂卻講出非常嚴厲的話,
 yet He spoke very harsh words,

被後代基督徒引用來一概化否定法利賽教會。
later christians used to denounce all Pharisee churches.

照海特威的邏輯,耶穌這些話都該刪掉!
 By Hattaway’s logic, these words of Jesus must go!

可悲的是,很多很多讀者被他的遁詞公開信誤導,
 Sadly, many many readers were misled by his Open Excuse Letter,

結果跟著他盲目扔石頭,
 so they blindly threw stones,

去責難中國家庭教會的元老級長輩,
 accusing the elder leaders of Chinese house churches,

像袁伯伯、林伯伯等受人尊敬的弟兄。
 like Elder Yuan, Elder Lin, respected brothers.

E.

除了林伯伯針對海特威的第一個詭辯邏輯提出拆解迷招之外,在德國的林慕實也針對海特威的第二個詭辯,就是誤用馬太的經文來反駁,指出他的錯誤來。林弟兄寫說:
 Beyond Uncle Lin’s rebuttal of Hattaway’s first fallacy, Lin Mushi in Germany also answered Hattaway’s second ploy—misusing Matthew—and exposed the error. Brother Lin wrote:

誤用經文
 Misusing Scripture

他們巧妙地誤用馬太十八章15-17節的一段經文,來對袁伯伯加以責難(對袁伯母,林獻羔伯伯、謝模善伯伯也是一樣)。
 They cleverly misused Matthew 18:15–17 to accuse Elder Yuan (and likewise Sister Yuan, Uncle Lin Xian-Gao, and uncle Xie).

“倘若你的弟兄得罪你,你就去,……若是不聽教會,就看他象外邦人和稅吏一樣。”
 “‘If your brother sins against you, go… If he refuses to listen to the church, treat him as a Gentile and a tax collector.’”

海特威責難說,因爲在中國的領袖們沒有先去德國找天上人,所以是違背聖經的,因此他們全部錯了。
 Hattaway charged that because China’s leaders didn’t first go to Germany to confront “the Heavenly Man,” they violated Scripture—and therefore were entirely wrong.

讀者聽起來好像很對啊!其實他們全部又受誤導了!
 That sounds convincing at first! In reality, it misleads the readers again!

因爲這段經文根本不合用在天上人的場合裡。
 Because that passage simply does not apply to this situation.

如果要運用這段經文,大前提是,天上人得罪了袁伯伯,(對其他人亦同理)。
 For Matthew 18 to apply, the premise must be that “the Heavenly Man” sinned against Uncle Yuan (and similarly against the others).

但是這個大前提不成立﹗
 But that premise doesn’t hold!

因爲天上人的所作所為,並不直接“得罪”袁伯伯,或林伯謝伯等任何個人,而是“得罪”了整體的中國家庭教會,“得罪”了神自己!
 What he did did not directly offend uncle Yuan or uncle Lin and Xie as individuals; it offended the whole Chinese house-church and, ultimately, God Himself!

前者是因他冒充,利用中國家庭教會名義,和以假見證混合的信息,欺騙了海外無數愛護中國家庭教會的人,後者是因他妄稱神的名。
 First, by impersonation—using the house-church’s name and mixing in false testimonies—he deceived countless overseas supporters; second, he took God’s name in vain.

天上人的支持者們利用此段經文來作擋箭牌,並誤導人責難袁伯等近百位簽署公開信的同工是違背經訓而行。
 His supporters used this text as a shield, misleading people to blame Uncle Yuan and nearly a hundred co-signers as if they violated Scripture.

它們得意地濫用神的話撐腰,意圖以重重障礙為難對方,肚子裡明知不可能。
 They triumphantly misused God’s Word as cover—piling up hurdles for others—while knowing it doesn’t truly fit.

我們先且撇開這個錯誤的大前提不談,讓我們切身處地去稍微深思一下,看個清楚:
 Set that faulty premise aside; let’s put ourselves in the situation and think it through clearly.

第一點
 Point One

主觀上,袁伯伯是不願意出國的。
 From a personal standpoint, Uncle Yuan was unwilling to travel abroad.

就連早年身體健康時,他也是拒絕邀請。
 Even in good health, he declined invitations.

他寧願忠於職守,照顧群羊。
 He preferred to stay faithful to his duty and tend the flock.

若是他出國了,回來時有可能不被允許入境。
 If he had gone overseas, he might not have been allowed back into China.


第二點
 Point Two

客觀上,他們年老體弱,行動不便。
 Objectively, they are elderly, frail, and with limited mobility.


第三點
 Point Three

到歐洲需要隨身護理。
 Traveling to Europe requires hands-on care.

若要到德國找天上人,還需要德語翻譯。
 If you went to Germany to see the Heavenly Man, you’d also need a German interpreter.


第四點
 Point Four

費用何來及是否值得都要考慮。
 You must consider the cost and whether it’s worth it.


第五點
 Point Five

隨時可能發生意外,誰能負責?
 Accidents can happen at any time—who takes responsibility?

若在飛機上中風了怎麼辦?
 What if he has a stroke on a long flight?

那時天上人方面就更有話可說了。
 Yun’s camp could then spin that situation to their advantage.


第六點
 Point Six

若真的去了,必然面對支持者和媒體。
 If they actually went, they would face supporters and media.

正好被利用來宣傳募款。
 Exactly what would be used for publicity and fundraising.


第七點
 Point Seven

天上人必然詭辯,不肯認錯。
 The Heavenly Man would likely respond with sophistry and refuse to repent.

那是否還得再派同工飛去一次呢?
 Would that force us to send co-workers to Europe again?

誰來付費和擔負責任呢?
 Who will pay and assume responsibility?

這些顧慮也適用於其他神的老僕人。
 These concerns also apply to God’s other elderly servants.


第八點
 Point Eight

按照經文,若天上人不悔改,就要告訴“教會”。
 According to Scripture, if the Heavenly Man won’t repent, tell the “church.”

但問題是:哪裡才有這個“教會”?
 But the problem is: where is that “church”?

誰是天上人的牧師呢?
 Who is the Heavenly Man’s pastor?


他號稱自己是大使徒、幾千萬信徒的代表。
 He claims to be a great apostle, the representative of tens of millions.

也是受苦的英雄和領導人物。
 Also a suffering hero and leading figure.


現在誰是他的屬靈導師呢?
 So who is his spiritual covering?

徐永澤只是同工和秘書。
 Xu Yongze is only his co-worker and secretary.

其他支持者各有問題,只是共犯。
 Other supporters are flawed, banded together as accomplices.

他們能等同“教會”嗎?
 Can they be equated with the “church”?

這樣合乎聖經嗎?
 Is that biblical?


G.

這牽涉到現代教會尷尬的問題。
 This raises an awkward problem in today’s church.

當牧師犯錯不認時,可以找屬靈遮蓋。
 When a pastor sins and won’t confess, you appeal to his covering.

但若遮蓋也掩錯亂蓋呢?
 But what if that covering also hides the sin?

若遮蓋誤用名聲亂扯呢?
 What if it abuses reputation to cover it up?

那還有多少更高的遮蓋呢?
 How many higher coverings are there above that?

那些責備別人不够遮蓋的,
 Those who scold others for lacking covering,

本身就最需要被糾正。
 Are often the ones most in need of correction.

林慕實的文章還有更多精彩的論點,

他也誠實指出,海特威爲了説服讀者,
 He also honestly pointed out that Hattaway, in order to convince readers,

說曾經寫過信打過電話給他都沒有回音,
 claimed he had written letters and called him without response,

是不合事實的假見證。
 which was in fact a false testimony.

石子反駁楊天民
Stone rebuts Paul Hattaway

另外有一位住在美國的弟兄,匿名叫石子,
 There is also a brother in the U.S., writing anonymously under the name “Shizi,” it means Stone。

也針對海特威的遁詞公開信來點出裏面的詭詐,
 who exposed the deceptions inside Hattaway’s so-called open letter,

至少有七點。
 listing at least seven points.


他的文章取名為:中國教會打假與回歸聖經。
 His article was titled: Chinas Church Exposes Falsehoods and Returns to the Bible.

由於文章很長,我們只把重點節錄下來。
 Since the article is long, we’ll only highlight the key points.


I.

石子寫說:
 Stone wrote:


其一,
 Point One:

Paul HATTAWAY 說,因為他自己不是 BTJ 的董事會成員,所以他的立場是中立客觀的。
 Paul Hattaway claims he is neutral because he is not on the BTJ board.

然而,他不是《天上人》一書的作者嗎?
 But isn’t he the author of The Heavenly Man?

如果中國家庭教會所揭發的問題屬實,他豈不是做了假見證?
 If the problems exposed by China’s house churches are true, then hasn’t he borne false witness?

大家能相信他在「天上人事件」上保持中立立場嗎?
 Can anyone truly believe he is neutral in this matter?

此外,他說他沒有拿稿費,那麼巨額收入去了哪裡?
 And he says he took no royalties—so where did all the money go?

BTJ 和 ASIA HARVEST 能夠公佈帳目嗎?
 Can BTJ and Asia Harvest open their accounts?


其二,
 Point Two:

Paul HATTAWAY 說他“無意攻擊他人”,但文章內容卻相反。
 Hattaway says he has “no intention to attack others,” yet his words clearly do.

他先用“煙火理論”和「友軍開火」來博取同情。
 He uses “smoke screens” and “friendly fire” language to stir sympathy.

讀者若不謹慎,很容易被這些鋪墊牽引。
 Readers who are not discerning can be easily carried away.


其三,
 Point Three:

他強調「天上人」在教義上沒有錯誤。
 He insists the Heavenly Man has no doctrinal errors.

但他的“神蹟奇事”經得起聖經檢驗嗎?
 But do his “miracles” stand the test of Scripture?

這些是榮耀基督,還是高抬自己?
 Do they glorify Christ—or exalt himself?

他是在傳福音,還是在編造謊言?
 Is he preaching the gospel—or weaving lies?


其四,
 Point Four:

Paul HATTAWAY 所列的支持者,大多是靈恩派領袖。
 The supporters Hattaway lists are mainly charismatic leaders.

他們常以經驗和感覺為依據,用“神蹟”高抬自己。
 They often rely on feelings and experiences, using “miracles” to lift themselves up.


其五,
 Point Five:

他引用馬太福音18:15-17,攻擊林獻羔老弟兄。
 He misuses Matthew 18:15–17 to attack Brother Lin Xian’gao.

他說林弟兄應該先找「天上人」面談,然後找上級。
 He says Lin should first meet the Heavenly Man, then go to his “leaders.”

可是,他去哪裡找「天上人」?
 But where could he even find him?

而 BTJ 的負責人本身就是假見證的始作俑者。
 And the BTJ leaders themselves are the source of these false testimonies.

這不就像要求貪污犯自己反貪嗎?
 That’s like asking a corrupt official to lead the anti-corruption office!


其六,
 Point Six:

Paul HATTAWAY 說,中國家庭教會老僕人是「政府手中的工具」。
 Hattaway accuses the faithful Chinese elders of being “tools of the government.”

這位自稱“無意攻擊”的人,其實誹謗到了極點!
 The man who claims he does not attack has slandered them to the extreme!

如此惡毒地攻擊神的僕人,他心中還有敬畏神嗎?
 With such vicious words against God’s servants, does he fear the Lord at all?


其七,
 Point Seven:

他在「具體指控的答覆」裡,故意漏掉「走私黃金」這一件事。
 In his so-called “answers to accusations,” he conveniently skips over the gold smuggling charge.

這件事是鐵證如山,卻被他避而不答。
 This charge is undeniable, yet he ignores it.

這就是障眼法,想混過去。
 It’s a cover-up, hoping people won’t notice.

但一個真正神的僕人,不可能走私黃金!
 But a true servant of God would never smuggle gold!

綜上所述,
 In conclusion,

Paul HATTAWAY 和「天上人」一樣,都犯了假見證的罪。
 Paul Hattaway, like the Heavenly Man, has borne false witness.

他們的人品達不到聖經對傳道人的要求。
 Their character does not meet the biblical standard for a minister.

我們不認為他們是神的僕人。
 We cannot recognize them as servants of God.

希望他們認罪悔改!
 We pray they repent!

我們也呼籲西方教會,查清 BTJ 和 ASIA HARVEST 的真相。
 And we urge the Western church to investigate BTJ and Asia Harvest.

在真相大白前,信徒不宜再繼續捐獻他們的機構和個人。
 Until the truth is clear, believers should not keep funding these groups.

石子的反駁文章,我們引用就到此為止。
 This is where we stop quoting Brother Stones rebuttal.

然而,因為這些文章難以傳到每個西方讀者面前,
 But since these writings cannot reach every Western believer,

一場極大的不義,就透過海特威的遁詞公開信,像酵一樣傳遍全球。
 a great injustice continues to spread through Hattaways evasive open letter, like leaven throughout the world.
